BATTLE FOR THE LIMELIGHT

Battle for the Limelight

The Fifth Annual BATTLE FOR THE LIMELIGHT, Northern Light Theatre’s legendary “Amazing Race” styled scavenger hunt returns this Saturday May 25, 2019, 1:30 - 4:30pm.

Founded in 2014, the BATTLE FOR THE LIMELIGHT is a community spirited fundraisers produced by Northern Light Theatre.  This year 14 Registered teams representing 12 different Edmonton Theatre companies will meet to compete along Whyte Avenue, battling it out in friendly competition while raising funds for their charity of choice.   This year’s race will include 22 local businesses hosting Pit Stop Challenges along Whyte Avenue in Old Strathcona’s Theatre District and 60 volunteers.

This Battle for the Limelight has trended nationally each year, showing off Edmonton’s scrappy, small theatre community. You can follow the race this coming week and on May 25th through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Watch for the hashtag: #nltlimelight.

Northern Light and each participating team in the race are still seeking pledges too – all in support of our respective upcoming seasons and productions.

Names of the Battle for the Limelight’s community and business sponsors will be posted after the race on May 26th
Donations to Northern Light Theatre can be made directly to our Canada Helps Page:
