Brian Dooley is

Brian Dooley is an award winning actor and producer.  During the last 30 years  Brian has worked throughout the country and abroad. His skills include directing, writing, producing and performing in a variety of media including radio, animation, film, television and the theatre. Trained and educated at the National Theatre School and Bishop’s University, Brian is currently Artistic Director  of L’Unithéâtre as well as  Director of Play Development at The Citadel Theatre. He has worked  in a variety of shows in several theatres across the country.   Brian draws  inspiration from the Mexican playwright Victor Banda’s fervent  message: “The theatre moves, illuminates, disquiets, disturbs, lifts the spirit, reveals, provokes and violates conventions. It is a conversation shared with society. Theatre is the first art to confront emptiness, shadows and silence to make words, movement, lights and life surge forth.”

Manon Beaudoin is

Manon Beaudoin has been involved in the Edmonton theatre community for almost twenty years. During that time she worked as an actor, director, writer and translator.  She has worked with many  different companies, including L’Unithéâtre, Northern Light Theatre, Catalyst Theatre, La Troupe du Jour (Saskatoon),  and La Seizième (Vancouver).  As a writer, her plays include:  Amour, tu m’attires Marie Brüner ; Terre bleue Dans les bras d’un géant ;  Glorious Liars ; and La Maison rouge.  Her translations include: Vern Thiessen’s Einstein’s Gift, The Domino Heart by Mathew Edison, Jewel by Joan MacLeod as well as some of her own.  In 2002, life brought changes necessitating a completely different direction.   In 2004, Manon relocated to Montreal where she works as a massage therapist but continues to write and translate.  She is currently working on a project titled, Une forêt sur la langue.

A major prop for THE PASSION OF NARCISSE MONDOUX is a grey and blue sweater.  We asked local stage manager and theatre artist, Anna Davidson to create us a hand made sweater for the show.

A Bloom Box from

Northern Light Theatre’s Online Auction

What’s a Bloom Box?

FaBLOOMosity has always been synonymous with weddings and corporate events.  But people didn't seem to realize that we do everyday arrangements and occasions as well.  So we have started a new division under FAB, Bloom Bar by FaBLOOMosity Floral Atelier.  As for the Box itself, this was a brainstorming session, and as we were trying to "think outside the box" it kind of dawned on us, why not stay inside a box, and the rest is history.

Check out our video

The best part of the new space is that we have so much more work space.  We had already outgrown the Mercer and things were getting quite crowded, and as the company was growing it just wasn't working for us anymore.  Plus, now we have tons of free parking right at our front door, which makes things so much easier for our clients.

The thing that is essential to FAB's arrangements is creativity. There is no one set style, shape, colour or flower that we just have to have.  We embrace all of it and completely customize to what our clients are looking for.  This way everyone gets exactly what they want, and it is always unique and special just for them.

HEATHERS: The Musical

by Ellen Chorley

March 16-19, 2016
Citadel Theatre

They were organized, they were cunning, they were ruthless and they looked great in a pair of silk stockings. From Edmonton’s Send in the Girls Burlesque the theatre company that created the sold out, held over, awarding winning Tudor Queens: A Burlesque, A Brontë Burlesque and The Hollywoodland Burlesques comes the little known story of the Forty Elephants Gang, a girl-gang of jazz follies in 1920s London who looked like heaven but raised hell. It’s true crime meets striptease with some bad ass flapper feminism thrown in for good measure…
